In acclaimed director Edgar Wright’s psychological thriller, Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie), an aspiring fashion designer, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer, Sandie (Anya Taylor-Joy). But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker. Co-starring Matt Smith, Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp. The cinema of Edgar Wright has long had a special place at Fantasia, with SHAUN OF THE DEAD, SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD and THE WORLD’S END each having had their Canadian premieres at the festival, the latter shown as Closing Film of our 2013 edition. We’re proud to be presenting this special advance screening of the gifted filmmaker’s already-adored new creation, hot off its premieres at the Venice International Film Festival, TIFF and BFI London FF.
