A psychedelic milkshake of twisted mysticism and streetwise thrills, the 2004 Studio 4ºC production MIND GAME marked the directorial debut of maverick Japanese animator Masaaki Yuasa (THE TATAMI GALAXY, DEVILMAN CRYBABY). Possibly the most laureled film in Fantasia’s history, MIND GAME walked away with the honours for Best Film, Best Script, and Best Director, as well as a Special Award for Visual Accomplishment and two Audience Awards, the Gold Prize for Best Animation Film and Silver Prize for Most Groundbreaking Film. That should be a tall enough pile of prizes to prove the when MIND GAME plays, everyone’s a winner.
