Everyone in town knows about the haunted Graham Farm on Willow Road. You’ll hear there’s a bad history to it. Josiah and his youngest son, Thomas, are all that remain of this estranged family. But after experiencing terrifying visions from beyond, Josiah decides they must change their ways to right a great wrong. After being away for over two decades, Eli and Mary, Josiah’s eldest children, are enticed to sell the property and reunite at the old farmhouse in hopes of closing this haunting chapter of their lives. Soon, sins of the past will be paid for.

WHAT JOSIAH SAW follows in the disturbing tradition of last summer’s Fantasia discovery THE DARK AND THE WICKED: A SOUTHERN GOTHIC, detailing the disintegration of a family doomed by unspeakable buried secrets. Director Vincent Grashaw (producer of BELLFLOWER, Fantasia 2011) and first-time screenwriter Robert Alan Dilts divide their unsettling film into four sections, each illustrating how the adult Grahams can’t escape their childhood trauma no matter how far they run. A reunion at their father’s farm will culminate in a crescendo of pure terror. Former T1000 Robert Patrick, who is on a roll these days with a string of impressive acting gigs (TONE-DEAF, THE WALKING DEAD and NO MAN OF GOD), again exudes pure malevolence as the demented patriarch. And we feel every ounce of his children’s pain, thanks to the fine acting of Nick Stahl, Scott Haze and Kelli Garner. Also look for another showy supporting turn from actor Ben Hall, completing a Fantasia hat trick this edition with more terrific work in AGNES and IDA RED! – Tony Timpone
